For our location in Iasi, Romania, we are looking for an External Sales Engineer (m/f/d).

TROX AUSTRIA + CEE GmbH was founded in 1963 and acts as a hub for all business in the CEE region. In addition to Austria, it is also represented in Czech Republic, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania, as well as Slovenia and the Slovak Republic by successful and reliable partners.

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-oriented External Sales Engineer to join our team in Romania. In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth in the assigned sales region, with a focus on developing customer relationships, providing technical expertise, and promoting the company’s HVAC and air handling solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

> Customer Portfolio: Manage and grow the customer portfolio in the assigned sales region: Ukraine, Republic of Moldova & East part of Romania (Iasi, Botosani, Suceava, Harghita, Covasna, Neamt, Bacau, Vaslui, Galati, Braila, Vrancea si Buzau)

> Customer Visits: Conduct regular customer visits, technical consultations and presentations.

> Market Analysis: Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and competitor activities.

> Relationship Building: Build strong, long-term relationships with HVAC planners, contractors, installers and investors.

> Technical Solutions: Prepare and present technical solutions for air handling units, fans, filtration products and ventilation components and systems.

> Application Support: Support customers in product selection, sizing and application engineering.

> Quotation Preparation: Prepare commercial offers for defined customers and assigned product ranges.

> Follow-Up: Follow up on issued quotations in line with defined service levels.

> Negotiation: Manage the negotiation process with support from the Country Manager.

> Pipeline Monitoring: Monitor the regional sales pipeline and contribute to monthly forecasts and reports.

REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

> Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related field.

> Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of experience in technical sales, ideally in HVAC or building technology.

> Mobility: Valid driving license and willingness to travel within the assigned sales region.

> Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of HVAC systems, AHUs, ventilation, filtration or related technologies.

> Sales Skills: Proven sales and negotiation skills in a technical environment.

> Communication: Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

> Work Style: Structured, analytical, and customer oriented working style.

> Teamwork: Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments and international teams.

> Languages: Fluent in Romanian and Ukrainian/Russian.

> English Skills: Good written and spoken English skills.
